The results of the "ArchConcept" competition have been summed up
On December 23, SPbGASU hosted the awarding of the winners of the All-Russian architectural competition "ArchConcept". The participants of the competition were students and teachers of architectural universities, schoolchildren, and practicing architects. The contestants were offered the theme "University of the Future", dedicated to the 190th anniversary of SPbGASU.

Despite the complicated epidemiological situation, winners from other universities were able to attend the awards ceremony and personally receive their awards: Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Moscow Institute of Architecture, Saint-Petersburg Mining University and Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University, as well as the youngest participants in the competition, representing the Saint-Petersburg School of Architectural Design. The geography of the winners turned out to be very wide, but the period of the session and the remoteness of the contestants did not allow many to come to Saint-Petersburg. But the contestants from the Pacific State University (Khabarovsk), Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Tomsk), Voronezh State Technical University (Voronezh), Saratov State Technical University after Yu. A. Gagarin and the Moscow State Academic Art Institute after V. I. Surikov were able to share the joy of victory - the award ceremony was broadcast online.

“This competition was held for the first time. It was organized by SPbGASU, the Union of Architects of St. Petersburg, the Union of Restorers of St. Petersburg and the Committee for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the Leningrad Region. The "ArchConcept" competition aroused great interest among students and teachers of architectural universities from different regions of our country. Many interesting, spectacular architectural solutions were presented,” Ekaterina Vozniak commented on the results of the competition.
“I took the image of a tree as the basis of my project as a symbol of growth and life, rooted in the past and striving for the future. Eco-materials, intensive landscaping, open spaces - these are the trends that I relied on. I hope that one day this concept will become a reality. Thanks to the organizers of the competition for the opportunity to express ourselves,” said Aleksey Volkov, a student of the Faculty of Architecture, sharing his impressions.
The next "ArchConcept" competition will take place in 2022.
