For the third time in a row, the SPbGASU All-Russian BIM Championship was included in the list of events for the grants by the President of the Russian Federation to persons enrolled in master's programs, approved by order of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science No. 880 dated 12 September, 2022.

This year, the championship was held as part of the SPbGASU innovative educational project "Innovative methodology for the formation of digital professional competencies of students and specialists in the construction industry."

Traditionally, the National Association of Designers and Surveyors (NOPRIZ) acted as the general partner of the event.

✔ Each team consisted of an architect, a design engineer, a heating engineer, a ventilation engineer, a water supply and sanitation engineer, a power supply engineer, and an estimator. The participants were given the task of designing a multifunctional residential building in St Petersburg. In the built-in part of the first floor, it was necessary to place office space, and on the last floor, a sports hall, an art studio or a winter garden should be provided. Most of the teams chose the winter garden option.

All participants used the Pilot-BIM software package as a common data environment in their work. Such experience allows students to master new competencies required by modern specialists in the construction industry.

The SPbGASU team included Mercedes Tropillo (architect), Adrian Belyakov (design engineer), Petr Shchurov (heating engineer), Igor Rogal (ventilation engineer, team captain), Aleksandra Svetlitskaya (water supply and sanitation engineer), Konstantin Timukov (power supply engineer ) and Maria Tegai (estimator).

Igor Rogal, the captain of the SPbGASU team, shared his impressions: “We really enjoyed participating in the championship. It wasn't too hard, because we were well prepared, but the difficulty was the time limit. It is a pity that we took only second place, but not always be the first. The only thing that upset me was that the championship was remote: I would like to personally get to know the participants from other teams.”

The organizers express their gratitude to the partners of the event: NOPRIZ, ASCON Group of Companies, Renga Software, Wizardsoft, Bolsheprolet, theWooden House Construction Association, the Institute of Applied Automation and Programming and others.
