The University Chose the Golden Faculty
SPbGASU hosted a grandiose student event - the interfaculty creative competition Golden Faculty. It was timed to coincide with the birthday of the student council of the university, which is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary. Due to covid restrictions, the previous competition was held in 2019.

Teams from all faculties showed bright and expressive performances dedicated to this year's theme, mythology.
“The largest student event with an attractive and slightly mysterious name, the Golden Faculty, returns to the calendar of events. This is very important, because holding such a holiday becomes a good tradition. And SPbGASU, which has a 190-year history, is able to preserve and develop traditions in education, science and student life,” Vice-Rector for Academic Work Sergey Mikhailov emphasized in his welcoming speech.
The presentation of the team of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services was dedicated to Slavic myths. The Faculty of Automobile and Road Building revealed the theme of Scandinavian myths. The Faculty of Forensics and Law in Construction and Transport presented the myths and legends of ancient Greece. The Faculty of Civil Engineering plunged the audience into the atmosphere of ancient Japan. The Faculty of Economics and Management played on the theme of ancient Egyptian myths. The Faculty of Architecture spoke about Mexican myths based on Aztec mythology.
“Everyone worked very hard, prepared, rehearsed, there was not a single free corner at the university. The assembly hall has not seen so many people for a long time! Gorgeous costumes, good ideas, great presenters, active support groups. Everyone enjoyed it immensely. For me personally, all of our current faculties are golden,” – said Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Irina Lugovskaia.
“I am very pleased that nothing has changed since 2019, that the same pure, bright student spirit lives at my university,” said Egor Ilyin, Chairman of the Student Council of St Petersburg, SPbGASU postgraduate student.
The Faculty of Automobile and Road Building won in the Best costume nomination.
Irina Tribelustova, a second-year bachelor's student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, won in the Best Actress nomination.
Leonid Nikolaev, a third-year bachelor's student at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services, was awarded in the Best Actor nomination.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering received the Audience Choice Award.
The main award of the Golden Faculty 2022 competition went to the Faculty of Architecture.
“I am proud of my facultyю All are great fellows. We chose those responsible for the script, dances, costumes, scenery, media, and then the guys worked independently of me, set the time themselves and rehearsed daily,” said Aleksandra Khusainova, Chairman of the Student Council of the Faculty of Architecture.{gallery name="зф"}
