On February 9, 2015Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering welcomed a delegation of Agency on residential engineering of Shandong province (China) including: Sun Shouzun (vice-director of the Agency), Liang Zecing (head of the research and design department), Fu Sanzhan (director of the Academy on investigation and design affiliated to the Agency), Kang Hoiting (vice-director of the Academy on investigation and design affiliated to the Agency), Che Yulin (head of the department, translator of the department of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the Agency).

Foreign guests will stay in Saint Petersburg five days; during their visit they are supposed to discuss possible cooperation opportunities and share experience in the following fields: architectural design, engineering culture, protection of monuments, and investigation of architectural urban space. Visiting programme also included acquaintance with the Committee on engineering and Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering which was of particular interest for them. The guests had a meeting with rector of the University Evgeny I. Rybnov, vice-rector for academic activity Irina R. Lugovskaya and vice-rector for scientific and production activity V.A. Gordienko. Rector of the University expressed his eagerness to strengthen the ties between SPSUACE and industry related higher education institutions in Shandong province. 

Russia and China are the state passing an active stage in development of engineering, so the dialogue between the representatives of both countries included issues of modern engineering methods. One of the main topics of discussion was erection of buildings using in-situ blocks which grows more popular. For instance, percentage of in-situ constructions in Russia is 50% of all erected residential buildings. Issues concerning development of these technologies were also discussed during the meeting of the Chinese delegation with representatives of the Committee on engineering in Saint Petersburg.
