On 2nd October, 2017 in frameworks of «A Week of safety in SPSUACE» there was held a thematic seminar «Philosophy of safety» under the direction of a senior lecturer of Department of History and Philosophy.E P.Gurjev. Students of the group 10-C-I of Faculty of Civil Engineering took part in the seminar work. The most active in the discussion were students M.Nefedov, M.Romanov, V.Egorov and N.Sopikov. Within the limits of the seminar a safety problem of a person was discussed on historic-philosophic materials of Ancient Greek antiquity. Participants of the seminar discussed threats of safety of a person, existing in the Ancient Greece, such as internecine wars, aggressive political strike, political instability, slavery and hunger problems. These questions were compared with problems of a modern society of the XXI century. The students came to a conclusion that the same problems in many cases also exist now. For example, Michael Nefedov noticed that a character of war in the XXI century and in the Ancient world, despite a difference in arms, has not changed. Nikita Sopikov underlined the necessity of the firm, predicted power, as guarantees of steady society then and now. In the conclusion it was formulated that philosophical understanding of safety of a person which included confidence of own future and present days, absence of corruption, peaceful co-existence of peoples and the steady political power.
