There was issued invention patent of the Russian Federation № 2573516

Invention of the honorary inventor of Russia, PhD in engineering, professor of the Chair of Over-Ground and Transport Technological Machines Shapunov Maks M., D.Sc in engineering, professor, head of the Chair of Over-Ground and Transport Technological Machines Sergey A. Evtyukov “Pneumatic conveying system for bulk cargo unloading from ships” was registered at the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. There was issued invention patent of the Russian Federation № 2573516, exclusive rights of which belong to Federal state budgetary education institution of higher professional education “Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering” and “Building machines” LLC.

The invention relates to the field of pneumatic conveying of bulk cargo and can be used to unload them from the holds of dry cargo vessels and the universal movement in silos. The complex includes a movable trailer, that hosts a crane and two settling chambers of pneumatic bulk cargo unloaders, connected to a vacuum and compressor equipment by means of air pipes of pneumatic unloaders by means of material wires having a suction device and a vibrating nozzle. The complex also contains the electric control, silos and transport material wire. The latter is set parallel to the holds of the discharged vessel and has several sections which are opposite to discharged holds, wherein each of the mentioned above sections has a butterfly valve and a pipe with a flange for connection to material wire of pneumatic unloader. During unloading the hold, the material wire of the pneumatic unloader is connected with the stem of the transport material wire area, butterfly valve of the section at the same time being closed and butterfly valves of the following sections being open. The invention is useful in terms of energy saving by reducing the length of cargo transportation discharged from each hold of the ship.

Congratulations to the authors of the invention!
