From 21 to 25 August, the annual Renga BIM-school was held at the Laboratory of Digital Building Information Models. Its participants were teachers of architectural and construction disciplines from all over Russia.

Renga is a Russian system for designing buildings and structures using information modeling technology. It is included in the register of Russian software - entry in the register No. 7810 dated 14 December, 2020. The Renga system can be used to design residential and commercial real estate, industrial production facilities. This is the first and only computer-aided design system in our country that implements the possibility of designing in real time.

The training course was organized by Renga Software, a joint venture between ASCON and 1C, which develops software products in accordance with Building Information Modeling technology (BIM/TIM).

The speakers were the employees of Renga Software, who solved the project tasks step by step, and the attendees repeated after them on the PC.

The participants of the summer school already had basic knowledge of Renga. In addition to general information about the system and its capabilities, they studied the topics of collaboration, various aspects of data exchange in the IFC4 format, and also worked with formulas - they can be used to obtain various calculated values that designers need for reports in the form of specifications, statements or accounting for these values for related tasks.

During the classes, it was possible to discuss the issues that arose, exchange experience and knowledge on the implementation of BIM / TIM in academic disciplines and the use of Renga in educational processes. All students received a certificate of advanced training from SPbGASU, as well as a certificate of participation in the summer school from Renga Software.
