“My scientific adviser, associate professor Milena V. Zolotareva, candidate of architecture, focuses on the structural aspects of work, helps to find new approaches to solving problems. This is essential for me as a young researcher,” notes Anastasia.

The Student of the Year competition was held in correspondence format. The selection of student research papers was conducted by the editorial board of the New Science International Center for Scientific Partnership, which was the organizer of the competition.

Anastasia Bergman took part in the “Architecture” nomination, where she presented the concept of a linear park in Rostov-on-Don and the methodology for its adaptation for the coastal area of the Temernik River. The implementation of the concept can become an important stage in the formation of an urban environment of a new quality – comfortable, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically attractive for citizens.

“I chose Rostov-on-Don as an object of research – the city where I was born and raised. I would like to direct my scientific activity and creative inspiration to improve and transform its environment," said Anastasia.

The concept of the linear park is distinguished by an integrated approach based on a thorough analysis of the features of the coastal area of the Temernik River, world experience in the design of such facilities, as well as the wishes of the townspeople for the improvement and filling of this space.

According to Anastasia Bergman, her supervisor Milena Zolotareva supported her throughout her work, expressed her professional architect's opinion on the concept as a whole, and gave advice on the theoretical basis of the research. Thanks to this, it was possible to overcome all difficulties and receive a high assessment. In addition, according to Anastasia, participation in the competition helped her learn more about the current areas of modern science and practice in the field of urban planning and architecture.
