The III Far Eastern BIM Forum took place on 28–31 May. It was organized by the Far Eastern State Transport University (FESTU) and this year was held simultaneously at two sites - in Khabarovsk and in the Chinese city of Fuyuan (Heilongjiang Province).
Participants in the international track of the forum in Fuyuan from Russia included managers and representatives of large companies from Moscow, St Petersburg, Perm, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, from China - scientists from the country's leading universities (Dalian Transport University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Railway Sciences, Harbin Technological Institute, Dalian Maritime University and others). The reports of Russian specialists aroused great interest. Particular attention was drawn to domestic software products that implement various stages of working with digital information models of capital construction projects.
A joint report on the experience of holding student TIM Championships using the SPbGASU methods was presented by the director of the LDBIM Training Center Denis Nizhegorodtsev, SPbGASU, and senior lecturer at the FESTU Department of Civil engineering Vadim Gopkalo.
The report aroused interest among representatives of Chinese universities. It was decided to hold the joint Russian-Chinese TIM Championship in the 2024/2025 academic year using the SPbGASU methods.
In addition to the working part, a technical tour was organized for the forum participants with a visit to new construction sites in Fuyuan: a residential complex with an interesting landscape design, an Ecological Museum, a modern city library.
