On 21 August, the Renga summer school for teachers started at the SPbGASU Laboratory of Digital Building Information Models.
Renga is a Russian BIM-system for joint architectural design, development of load-bearing structures, internal engineering networks and the technological part of buildings and structures. The Renga system is included in the register of Russian software: entry in the register No. 7810 dated 14 December, 2020.
The summer school is organized by Renga Software, a joint venture between ASCON and 1C, which develops software products for designing buildings and structures in accordance with Building Information Modeling technology (TIM/BIM).
According to Maksim Shibanov, head of the company's marketing department, the summer school is being held at the SPbGASU site for the second time. This year, an in-depth course with practical exercises is planned. The program includes a round table where they will discuss the introduction of Renga into the educational process.
About 40 teachers of Russian higher and secondary specialized educational institutions became participants of the summer school.
Angelina Belokurova, a lecturer at the Petrozavodsk Urban Economics College, has high expectations: she expects to gain new knowledge and skills for her job.
Vyacheslav Alyoshichev from the Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Samara State Technical University will start teaching Renga this year. In his opinion, the need to switch to domestic software makes the study of the Renga system especially relevant.
The summer school ends on 25 August. Participants will receive a Renga Specialist Certificate and a Certificate of Professional Development. They will also have the opportunity to take the Renga Teaching Certification Exam.
