On 17 March, SPbGASU hosted the final of the city volleyball tournament among student teams. This is one of the most popular disciplines at the Olympiad of the squad movement of the Northern capital.

Four teams from our university took part in the competition, representing the student construction squad "Piatnitsa", the student pedagogical squad "Svoboda", the student construction squad "Cousteau" and the student archaeological squad "Lin'".

The student construction squad “Molot” of Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University won the tournament. Second place went to the interuniversity year-round student pedagogical squad “Korchagintsy”. Third place was taken by the student construction squad “Skovoroda”, also from the Polytechnic University.

“The tournament was very intense, and the final games were bright and hard-fought. Volleyball is not only an active game with a ball, but also an intellectual battle where you need to think through a strategy to win. We are thankful to all the teams for the emotions and will to win,” noted Irina Nuryeva, head of the SPbGASU Youth Policy Division.
