SPbGASU has become the venue for the LXXVII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Architecture – Construction – Transport – Economics”. Over the course of two days, 22 and 23 November, conference participants will present research results and exchange views on current issues. The co-organizers of the conference are the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS) and the Russian Academy of Engineering.
On behalf of the SPbGASU rector Evgeny Rybnov, Vice-Rector for Research Evgeny Korolev made a welcoming speech, calling for the consolidation of the efforts of representatives of various scientific fields. According to the Vice-Rector, this is necessary to minimize labor intensity in construction - a task formulated by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
A video message from the President of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS) Dmitry Shvidkovsky was dedicated to changes in construction and architectural science associated with the use of new technologies. Dmitry Shvidkovsky emphasized the need to preserve the traditions of the St Petersburg school of engineering and architecture and to develop at conferences the foundations on which the culture of education and scientific work at SPbGASU is based.
The greeting of the President of the All-Russian public organization “Russian Engineering Academy” (REA) Boris Gusev was read by the director of the SPbGASY Institute of Traffic Safety, Professor at the Department of Land Transport and Technological Machines Sergey Evtyukov: “Constantly developing creative and scientific ties have been established between the Russian Academy of Engineering and SPbGASU. University teachers participate in events held by the academy and achieve significant results.
The present period of development of Russia and the world is a time of great changes and grandiose events. This is not only about artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, etc., but also about new solutions for nature conservation, the development of the Arctic, the production of new materials and structures, the development of architecture and the preservation of cultural heritage, the creation of high-speed transport and the construction of high-speed highways, water purification, etc. In solving these and other important problems, the contribution of specialized academies and universities is significant.
Of course, the development of these and many other areas of engineering activity requires the active participation of leading and young scientists, teachers, as well as the involvement of students in scientific activities. University conferences, competitions and grants are great opportunities for this.”
On behalf of the government of the Leningrad region and its governor Aleksandr Drozdenko, Chairman of the Leningrad Region Committee on Transport Mikhail Prisyazhnyuk addressed the conference participants. The speaker spoke about the unity of science and practice using the example of equipping a resuscitation bus for a special operation zone.
