On 15 May, SPbGASU held a working meeting of the Construction Industry Consortium of the Northwesternern Federal District as part of the business program of the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Modeling in the Problems of Construction and Architecture” (BIMAC-2024).
The event was held in accordance with the Consortium’s work plan for 2024 (block “Digitalization”). Its topic was the digitalization of construction project management processes.
The discussion included professionals involved in theory and practice related to the implementation of software solutions. The tone of the conversation was set by Aleksandr Grimitlin, Vice-President of the National Association of Designers and Surveyors (NOPRIZ), chairman of the NOPRIZ Committee on the digitalization of architectural and construction design. Aleksandr Grimitlin emphasized that successful digitalization requires the consolidation of all parties, as well as the help and active position of the authorities. The meeting participants spoke about their developments in the field of digitalization and the prospects for their practical application; analyzed the current state of digitalization in the field of control and support of construction in St Petersburg and the Leningrad region; considered the possibility of developing uniform standards for data exchange between participants in urban planning activities based on uniform formats and regulations for information exchange, technical and methodological requirements for the general data environment and other topical issues
The working meeting resulted in setting the clarifying and additional tasks into the Consortium’s work plan, including the preparation of a formalized description of construction processes subject to further digitalization.
The Construction Industry Consortium of the Northwestern Federal District was created on 25 October, 2023. The priority areas of its activity are the creation of a system of interaction with administrative, educational, scientific, industrial and social-professional organizations to ensure the region’s leading position in the construction industry, the effective implementation of national projects and regional development programs.
