On 3 May, SPbGASU students, together with students of other St Petersburg universities, took part in the “Stop “Podvig”” campaign. They visited the Nevsky Spot, the famous bridgehead held by Soviet troops, which played a decisive role in breaking the siege of Leningrad. It was here that some of the most fierce battles of the Great Patriotic War took place.

On 8 May, our students honored the memory of the heroes at the memorial to the militias of the Leninsky district. A flower-laying ceremony took place in the park near the Baltic Railway Station in St Petersburg.

This place is a symbol of the courage and self-sacrifice of the citizens who went to the front as part of the Leningrad People's Militia Army. The feat of the militia serves as an example of indestructibility, mutual support and unity of our people.

The online photo exhibition “Immortal Regiment”, organized by the “Brick” Student Creativity Center, is intended to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The album on the social network VKontakte presents materials provided by teachers, staff, and students of our university. From these photographs a video sequence will be created for broadcast on all monitors installed at the university. In addition, in the main hall of the university there is an exhibition “Faces of Victory”, dedicated to students, teachers and graduates of our university who fought at the front and worked in critical areas in the rear.

From 6 to 8 May, the Faculty of Forensics and Law in Construction and Transport organized an already traditional exhibition dedicated to Victory Day. The exhibition featured exhibits - images, photographs, personal belongings, as well as newspapers from the Great Patriotic War, reflecting the heroic deeds of Soviet soldiers. In addition, the exhibition told about the family stories of our students related to their relatives who fought on the fronts. Each story is a memory of their courage.

“This exhibition reveals to us living stories captured in the memory and hearts of descendants. She calls on us to remember and honor those who gave their lives for our future,” said Renata Khazhieva, chairman of the FFLCT Student Council.

“To know the history, to remember the exploits of our ancestors means to be a patriot,” says Elena Ivanova, deputy dean of the Faculty for academic affairs. – "We are glad that such caring children, brought up in the spirit of love for the Fatherland, are studying at our faculty! Our task is to preserve the memory of the feat of the people, who, with their unity and cohesion, hard work and dedication, incredible love for the Motherland, provided us with peace, freedom and independence. Victory Day is a holiday that unites generations. We remember our history and are proud of it!"

Symbols of Victory appeared in the windows of the academic buildings and dormitory of our university. SPbGASU joined the All-Russian action “Windows of Victory”, which is carried out by the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First” with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. The action is aimed at preserving historical memory and continuity of generations.
