Those wishing to learn about the career track at Setl Group lined up. This company is a long-standing partner of SPbGASU. According to Daria Fioletova, the training and development manager of the training and development sector of Setl Stroy LLC, in 2023, the largest number of students were accepted for practical training and internships from our university.
They can undergo industrial practice in several areas: design, construction management, geodesy, quality of materials (in a testing laboratory), construction control, labor protection. Those who have managed to prove themselves have the opportunity to undergo a paid internship. All interns are included in the reserve of young specialists under the SetlStart program. After receiving a diploma, they can be invited to an open vacancy.
"The design practice takes place in the office, so we cannot take everyone to this area and we are holding a competition of educational projects. If you did not pass the competition, do not be upset! Choose the direction of construction management - such experience will also be very useful to you as designers," advised Daria Fioletova to the students.

Representatives of the branch of China National Chemical Engineering and Construction Corporation Seven LLC in the Leningrad Region are visiting SPbGASU for the second time. This company is the general contractor for the construction of the Baltic Chemical Complex in the village of Ust-Luga, 170 km from St Petersburg. As Evgenia Naida, a leading specialist in the HR department, said, the company is ready to accept more than 150 interns and trainees annually. An employment contract is concluded with all of them, a salary is paid, housing, food, and, if necessary, travel to the place of work are provided. There are all the conditions for recreation - there is a sports ground, a library, and even a tea room. Experts, leading engineers, and managers are happy to take students into their care.

Among the employees of the companies participating in the Career Day, there were many who had once studied at SPbGASU. Anatoly Aleksandrov, head of the department of the design and construction company SPb-Giproshakht, graduated in 2008 in the Industrial and Civil Engineering program. Anatoly believes that the university gave him good training. And not only him, but also all the representatives of our university with whom he conducted interviews.
The stand session on the balustrades of the main building of the university was visited by about a thousand students. Many noted the undoubted benefit of the event - the guys managed to get answers to questions, learn about vacancies, and expand their professional horizons.
Future applicants who are still choosing a university also came to the Career Day. They found out where they could work after studying at SPbGASU.
The companies representatives were happy to meet potential employees, interns and trainees. They unanimously named interest and sparkling eyes as the main advantages of the applicants.

As reported by Ekaterina Abolina, Director of the Center for Student Entrepreneurship and Career, SPbGASU is actively involved in promoting employment and career development of students, providing various opportunities for interaction with representatives of construction industry companies. One of the events where students can directly communicate with future employers is SPbGASU Career Day.
According to Ekaterina Arvidovna, today the demand for our students in the labor market is very high. The Center for Student Entrepreneurship and Career creates and strengthens connections between students and companies, organizes various career guidance and entrepreneurial events.
"It is very important to start attending such events from the first year. This allows you to get acquainted with a wide range of companies, study their values and offers, programs to support young professionals and working conditions, understand what knowledge and skills are needed to occupy a particular position in order to develop them during the training process. Early acquaintance with the company of interest allows you to start interacting, undergo practical training or an internship, participate in training programs and competitions, which ultimately greatly increases your chances of getting a job," Ekaterina Abolina is sure.
