Flu vaccination

Students and employees of SPbGASU are vaccinated against influenza at the SPbGASU Medical and Preventive Care Center.

Vaccinations are carried out with Sovigripp and Flu-M vaccines from 12 September to 18 November, 2024, from 10:00 to 14:00. No prior registration is required. Contact the MPCC registry. Bring your Russian passport and/or student ID card.

"Sovigripp®" is a trivalent influenza vaccine. It is a highly purified drug with good tolerability. The composition of the vaccine is updated annually in strict accordance with WHO recommendations on expected strains of the influenza virus;

Flu-M is a vaccine that fully complies with the main global trends in the field of influenza vaccines and WHO recommendations.

First of all, it is recommended to get a flu shot to:

  • children;
  • pregnant women;
  • persons with chronic diseases;
  • persons over 60 years of age and medical workers;
  • workers in the fields of education, transport and housing and communal services.

The best time is from September to November. It is important that immunity after the flu vaccination has been formed before the epidemic rise in cases begins.

Contraindications:

  • allergic reactions to previous influenza vaccinations;
  • allergic reactions to chicken protein and other vaccine components;
  • severe reaction (temperature above 40° C, swelling and hyperemia at the injection site over 8 cm in diameter) or complications from previous influenza vaccine administration in the anamnesis;
  • acute infectious and non-infectious diseases, exacerbation of chronic diseases (vaccinations are administered two to four weeks after recovery);
  • in case of mild acute respiratory viral infections, acute intestinal diseases, vaccination is administered after the temperature has returned to normal.
