On 16 June, a delegation of representatives of the construction industry from Shandong Province (PRC) visited SPbGASU.

The delegates held talks with representatives of the SPbGASU top management, visited the university museum and library.

Shandong is one of the largest and economically developed regions of China with rich history and architecture. It is the location of the College of Urban Engineering cooperating with foreign universities.

According to the Chinese side, the exchange of ideas on personnel training is especially relevant in connection with the signing by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping of a joint statement on a plan to develop key areas of economic cooperation between the two countries until 2030.

Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Irina Lugovskaia informed about the cooperation between SPbGASU and Chinese universities.

SPbGASU is a member of the Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC), an international consortium of architectural and civil engineering universities established in 2017 on the initiative of the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture with the participation of SPbGASU and other leading architectural and construction universities of Russia, China, Poland, France, Armenia, Bulgaria, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea and other countries to promote the development and strengthening of international cooperation in the field of scientific research, academic mobility and intercultural exchanges.

SPbGASU is developing cooperation with the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. In 2021, a Chinese university invited students to the international online summer school "Smart City".

Together with Henan Urban University, a joint educational program on water supply and sanitation is being implemented. Academic exchange of students and teachers is carried out. Every summer students of this university come to SPbGASU to participate in the summer school. In autumn, students of our university will go to Henan Urban University for an internship. Since there are a lot of applicants, it is planned to organize these trips once a semester.

Last year, SPbGASU held talks with Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. The parties considered the possibility of creating the International Alliance of Architectural and Technological Universities of the Silk Road and holding an international month, the program of which will include presentations of universities - members of the alliance, meetings and scientific seminars, as well as the cultural and educational project "Chinese Language Bridge", in which students and teachers get a closer look at the unique Chinese architecture.

The parties expressed their intention to develop cooperation. For a more detailed discussion of the interaction between SPbGASU and the College of Urban Engineering of Shandong Province, Irina Lugovskaia suggested holding an online meeting.
