Every year, the first Monday of October celebrates the World Architecture Day. The holiday, established by the International Union of Architects (IUA) is marked by conferences, creative discussions, and exhibitions dedicated to it.

Architecture plays an important role in everyone’s life: the appearance of our planet largely depends on the creative thought and the level of professionalism of architects, which is why the knowledge they possess is so important.

Over the years, talented architects and engineers studied, taught, and carried out scientific research at SPbGASU. They made a significant contribution to the development of Russian and foreign cities, leaving behind architectural monuments and good memories.

Their successors are today’s SPbGASU students and teachers, who solve current urban planning problems and work on popular projects. Loyalty to traditions and modern technologies open up new professional horizons for them.
