On 8 December, SPbGASU held one of the most exciting events in student life – the interfaculty creative competition “Golden Faculty”. The event is annually dedicated to the birthday of the student council: this year it turned 16 years old.
Each year the competition is dedicated to a specific topic. This year's topic was classic fairy tales from world literature. Faculties presented large-scale shows on a given topic.
“I was a member of the Golden Faculty 2019 and it was great. It seems to me that every student at our university should be imbued with this event, try their hand, at least touch it,” said Maksim Baykov, a master’s student at the Faculty of Economics and Management.
“I am impressed by the scale and beauty of the event. The faculty teams charged us all with positive energy! It is clear that everyone is preparing, trying to show their maximum and even more. This brings great delight,” Adelina Bondarenko, chairman of the student council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, shared her impressions.
The jury included choreographer Irina Nikolaeva, theater and film actor Artyom Bordovsky, head of the youth policy department of the Interuniversity campus Leila Muzaffarova, radio host Anton Sazanov, singer, participant in the “Songs” project on TNT ARS-N.
This year the Faculty of Architecture received the golden title, presenting its unusual version of Pushkin's fairy tales. Its students succeeded for the second time in a row.
- In addition, the jury selected the best participants in several categories.
The best male role was Viy, performed by civil engineering student Dmitry Kuznetsov. Best Actress – Sofia Mityagina (Faculty of Economics and Management), the charming Cat. The prize for the best costume was received by Polina Fedyushina, a student of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building, in her delightful image of Maleficent.
And, the audience award this year went to the Faculty of Economics and Management with their performance based on the cartoon about the Bremen Town Musicians.
We wish the guys further success in their creativity and hope that next year the faculties will surprise us even more with their enthusiasm and skill!
