On 29 November, SPbGASU held a traditional large-scale event – ​​the creative contest “Golden Faculty”, which unites students of different specialties in the pursuit of common success. This contest not only promotes the exchange of experience and ideas, but also forms new connections between faculties, creating an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation. This year’s theme was “A Life-Long Path”. Each faculty presented its vision of one of the stages of a person’s life.

Before the contest start

"Previously, the themes for the "Golden Faculty" were films, fairy tales, myths. This year we chose this theme to make it clear: we are not just having fun - we are bringing a moral message to students," noted Ksenia Vitsina, the chairperson of our university's Student Council.

The performance of the team of the Faculty of Forensics and Law in Construction and Transport was dedicated to such a stage of life as childhood. The Faculty of Economics and Management revealed the theme of school years. The Faculty of Architecture immersed the audience in the atmosphere of student years. The Faculty of Civil Engineering presented us with the prime of life, youth after studies. The Faculty of Automobile and Road Building played on the theme of middle age. The Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services told us about old age.

The jury included Irina Vinogradova, teacher of additional education, manager of the highest category; Mikhail Gribov, president of the International Association of Balls; Varvara Volkova, director of the Youth House of St Petersburg; Roman Parfenov, choreographer; Olga Popova, laureate of international competitions of operetta and musical artists.

The prize for "Best Costume" was awarded to the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services.

The "Best Actress" nomination prize went to Arina Barsukova, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The "Best Actor" award went to Artem Dmitriev, a student at the Faculty of Forensics and Law in Construction and Transport.

The Faculty of Economics and Management received the Audience Award.

The nomination "Best decorations" went to the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building.

Students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering won the "Best Support Group" nomination.

The main prize of the competition – the Golden Faculty Cup 2024 – went to the Faculty of Economics and Management!

Arina Barsukova shared her impressions: "I am delighted, I am happy. During preparation for the "Golden Faculty", of course, there were tears and smiles, but it was worth it!"

Kirill Eliseev, one of the event's organizers, noted: "The Golden Faculty is one of the largest events of the year. It leaves only the brightest and most unforgettable impressions afterwards."

Yana Stepanova, the chairperson of the FEM Student Council, said: "I felt proud of my team. A month of non-stop work, when the guys stay at the university until the very night with constant rehearsals and nerve-wracking rehearsals. We did it!"

"The guys were able to cover the themes of this year's "Golden Faculty" very well. This event is getting better and better every year," says Ksenia Vitsina, chairperson of the Student Council.

By all accounts, the Golden Faculty was not just a contest, but a real celebration of creativity, knowledge and cooperation. It showed how important it is to exchange experiences between students of different specialties. By joining forces, the participants were able not only to demonstrate their talents, but also to establish new connections that can become the basis for future joint initiatives. This format of inter-faculty interaction inspires students to further develop and search for new opportunities. New challenges and achievements await us ahead, and we are looking forward to the next competition, which will certainly give us many bright moments and unforgettable impressions!
