The SPbGASU Center for Career and Competence annually monitors the employment of its alumni in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and regional executive authorities. The Center collects information, processes it and provides it upon request.
Alumni employment monitoring includes three stages:
- Collection of data on the forecast of employment through requests for graduating departments for each graduate: plans for further employment, current place of work, contact details (April);
- Collection of data on actual employment at the time of graduation for each alumnus: current place of work, the need to promote employment; data is collected through the Moodle system by filling out questionnaires by alumni (June);
- Collection of data on actual employment through requests for graduating departments for each graduate: current place of work, the need to promote employment (September).
The data obtained are statistically processed, analyzed and used by the SPbGASU management in order to improve the structure and quality of personnel training, and are also provided to federal and regional authorities in accordance with the request.
According to the 2022 alumni's employment monitoring data:
- 79% graduates are employed or combine studies at SPbGASU and work
- 63% graduates are employed in their specialty in the first year after graduation from the university
- 53% employed graduates are from other regions
- 68% employed graduates stayed in St Petersburg
- 32% employed graduates work in other regions
