Athletics
Athletics is an Olympic sport that includes running, race walking, jumping and weight throwing. It combines the following disciplines: running, race walking, technical types (jumping and throwing), all-around, runs (road running) and crosses (cross-country running). One of the main and most popular sports. Athletics is one of the most popular sports, as it does not require expensive conditions for training. This is the reason for its high prevalence. Competitions are held both in the individual championship and in the team.

The combined team in our university was created in 2003. Our team competes in all competitions in St Petersburg and is a strong and close-knit sports team of SPbGASU. Today, classes are held in the SPbGASU sports hall No. 2 (Kurlyandskaya st., 2/5, Faculty of Automobile and Road Building). They are conducted by Oksana Aleksandrovna Safonova. Students of our university participate in the following competitions: St Petersburg university championships (winter, summer), city cross among universities, competitions for the freshman prize, relay race, city Universiade, White Nights marathon, Cross of Nations, Race of Heroes. We invite everyone and we will be glad to see you in the combined teams of our university.
