Do I need a visa to enter Russia?

All foreign citizens are required to have visas to enter and travel to Russia unless the country of citizenship is among the visa-free countries. Visitors should be aware about visa requirements, and should plan travel well in advance. What documents are required?

To apply for your Russian visa you will need the following documents:

  • Visa application form (online form: https://visa.kdmid.ru/PetitionChoice.aspx)

  • Foreign passport valid for six months after your Russian visa expires

  • 1 passport-sized photo

  • Visa invitation

  • Medical insurance

In some cases, other documents can be required. Please, check with your local Russian Consulate / Embassy for the exact list of the documents required for your visa application.
