The Department has developed stable relations with the largest enterprises of the Association of Timber House Construction, such as DSK Slavyansky, HAUS-KONZEPT Sodruzhestvo, TalionTrade, NLC Domostroenie, TC House Gatchina, ZAO Velux, as well as with scientific and educational institutions: Kucherenko TSNIISK; MSCEU, SPbSFU, MB BMSTU, NArFU, SFU.

The Department actively participates in the organization and holding of the annual International Congress on Timber Construction, organizes trips of the best students to various educational institutions, to construction exhibitions and leading home-building enterprises in Finland.

Mutually beneficial cooperation contributes to the development of scientific research and advanced training of students. Every year, the department organizes an expedition to Kizhi island within the framework of the Summer University project.
