Since 2012, the department has been training specialists of two degrees - bachelors (five years of study) and masters (two years). The bachelor's training program at the department is structured in such a way that graduates of this degree can work both in the field of urban planning and in the field of designing individual objects, i.e. they are specialists of a wide professional profile.
In the process of studying the bachelor's programs, students get acquainted with the design features of both individual residential and public buildings, and urban planning and landscape topics. When lecturing, multimedia tools are actively used. Diploma projects of graduates of the department have repeatedly won diplomas of the first categories and certificates of honor at the competitions of diploma projects in Kazan (2006), Vologda (2007), Samara (2008), Voronezh (2010), Yerevan (2011). city), Krasnoyarsk (2012).
In the master's degree programs, applicants are offered research and design topics that are relevant for the urban development of St Petersburg, the Leningrad Region and other regions of the Russian Federation. The department also has PhD and doctoral studies in urban planning.
