• Economics as an independent discipline was introduced to the curriculum of the Department of Construction Operations.

1959

• The Department of Construction Economics was founded at LISI.

1964

• The Department started training postgraduate students in economics and management of the national economy.

1991

• Teachers of the department started participation in training specialists for construction organizations at the SPbGASU Institute of Advanced Training.

2018

• The department was renamed to the Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Utility Infrastructure.
