The department was established in September 2014. Its teaching staff specializes in the fields of economics and law, economic security, auditing, forensic examinations, criminology, psychology, information and economic security, and other branches of knowledge in the field of countering criminal and other unlawful acts.

The head of the department is Professor Anatoly K. Modenov, Doctor of Economics, Candidate of Law. A.K. Modenov is the author of several monographs, numerous articles, and textbooks; he is coauthor of international monographs, textbooks, and manuals on economics and law and economic security. He has not only great theoretical, but also practical working experience in law enforcement and public authorities.

The department employs 12 teachers, including 3 doctors and 9 candidates of science.

The staff of the department published more than 10 monographs, 15 textbooks and teaching materials, 6 international publications Scopus. Our teachers participate in international conferences and forums:

The department awards degrees of specialists in the speciality 05.05.01. "Economic Security"; the training period is 5 years.

Altogether, 900 people are trained at the department in all specializations (750 students of full-time mode of training and 150 people in the part-time mode of training).

Already during the training period, the students of the department are in demand of enterprises and organizations as specialists in the field of economic and information security.
