1947
- The Department of Construction, Road and Handling Machinery was founded.
1950-s
- Works on the creation of new machine designs based on in-depth theoretical and experimental research started. New continuous foam concrete mixers and cement pneumatic dischargers were designed.
1961
- R&D works on the design of equipment for the production of precast reinforced concrete structures were implemented. Enhancement of their factory readiness was achieved.
1965
- Works on the enhancement of the reliability of hydraulic drives of construction machines were carried out. A huge amount of work was done in the field of purification of hydraulic fluids from mechanical impurities, dozens of copyright certificates have been received.
1967
- Broad R&D works started for the development of equipment for the enrichment of natural stone materials using the “dry” method. This ensured year-round production of high-quality concrete aggregates, made it possible to organize no-waste production, improve the environmental performance of enterprises, and reduce production costs.
1970-s
- Increase of the reliability of hydraulic cylinders and their sealing units was achieved thanks to the R&D works at the department.
1980-s
- Organization of centralized technical maintenance of construction machinery parks and provision of spare parts was in the focus of R&D works. The issue of increasing the efficiency of construction machines operability remains essential at the present time and the researches continue.
2012
- The Department got its present name of the Department of Land Transport and Technological Machines.
