Elena Bobrova is the author of six published scientific articles, including one in a journal peer-reviewed by the HAC.

Completed design works
  • 1986 - 1998, Institute "Lengiprogor": the author and co-author of about 25 urban planning projects; participation in competitions for the development of master plans and sketches for the development of city centers (Krasnoturinsk, Vorkuta, Nazran, etc.).
  • 1998 - 2013, Research and design works commissioned by KGIOP and the Department of State Protection, Preservation and Use of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Leningrad Region: author and co-author of more than 30 works.

The most significant design works:

  • Projects of detailed planning of the cities of Kurgan, Tyumen, Astrakhan regions; master plans for the cities of Shumikha, Klyuchi, Kurgan, Komsomolsky, Olya, Vorkuta; regional planning schemes and territorial planning schemes of the Astrakhan region; a comprehensive program for the development of tourism in the Astrakhan region (1986–1998).
  • Projects of cultural heritage protection zones on the territory of St Petersburg (1998–2008), which formed the basis of the Law of St Petersburg on the boundaries of cultural heritage protection zones on the territory of St Petersburg and land use regimes within the boundaries of these zones, adopted in 2008.
  • Historical and cultural research on objects (identified objects) of cultural heritage in order to determine the objects of protection for integration into a graphic database (2008–2009).
  • Historical, cultural, urban planning studies for planning projects and land surveying projects (2002–2013).
  • Projects of protection zones of Yaroslavl, Tver, Kaliningrad and the Kaliningrad region, cities of the Leningrad region (2005–2013).
  • Development of guidelines, including those on establishing the procedure for developing projects for zones of protection of cultural heritage sites, requirements for the land use regime and urban planning regulations within the boundaries of these zones (2009–2010).
